QMX Launches North American Operations from Ottawa, ON, Canada, June 2026

QMX, the UK-based quantum sensing company, has announced the establishment of its North American headquarters in Ottawa, Canada, following a strategic evaluation supported by Invest Ottawa. The company's Head of Americas, Turgut Abacioglu, will lead on-the-ground operations, together with CEO Daniel Henbest and Finance Director Julian Drake, driving investor engagement and commercial partnerships across Canada and the United States.

Ottawa was selected for its deep-tech ecosystem, access to defence and government networks, and proximity to leading research institutions, including the National Research Council Canada (NRC), the University of Ottawa, and Carleton University.
